June 27: With her children’s book that she has published with BlueRose Publishers, the New Delhi girl has tried to de-stigmatize menstruation as a taboo subject and create more awareness about it, among others.

The world has been a witness to the rise of so many talented beings working across different sectors, trying to make their mark in their chosen niches. But how many times have we heard about youngsters and teenagers making their mark and moving their way to the top in their fields? It is so wonderful to know more about young girls paving their path to success by working around ideas and doing things that aim to add more value to the lives of others. We couldn’t help but notice the rise of one such incredible soul, a 16-year-old girl named AnaiyaNaroola, who wrote the book “Anu Didi’s Monthly Visitor” (https://www.amazon.in/dp/9356283079?ref=myi_title_dp).

Anaiya Naroola is a New Delhi young talent and a student from Delhi Public School R.K. Puram. However, she credits her grandparents’ home in Uttarakhand, which has been her childhood paradise, for helping her learn and making her fall in love with the joy of family, food, and the attitude of giving and helping those in need. Speaking about her much-talked-about and recently published book Anu Didi’s Monthly Visitor, Anaiya Naroola highlights that it is a children’s book that aims to de-stigmatize menstruation as a taboo subject and tries to spread awareness of its reality as well as develop menstrual hygiene practices.

Her book is a genuine effort to increase awareness around menstruation and reduce the stigma attached to it and also tries to inspire conversations around it to normalize it across diverse demographic groups. She hopes the readers understand that the “monthly visitor” is not something to be ashamed of or feel embarrassed about. When asked what inspired her to write this book, Anaiya Naroola says that spending summers at her grandparents’ place and one of her encounters with a family living on a farm and their children’s plight changed her outlook on many things in life and encouraged her to do something that could spread more awareness.

“Being a woman, I’ve often seen such stigmas around menstruation. And it was a delight seeing that Anaiya has written something so beautiful about something that is natural and relatable to the female audience. It was a pleasure working with such a young and creative-minded author.” said Khushboo Kaushik, CEO of BlueRose Publishers.

Anaiya Naroola now plans to continue writing more about the adventures of Anu Didi and Aum and would love to explore further the art of poetry and cookbooks. She is currently working on a children’s nutrition awareness program. She is helping society and spreading awareness in every way she can and she plans to do it throughout her life.
